Easy Baked Oats

Surprise, surprise many of the foods that kids enjoy aren’t really high in fiber. Loading them up with a hearty bowl of oatmeal in the morning is a great way to make sure they stay full until lunch time and to help them get their daily intake of fiber. 

Pure oats are gluten-free, whole grain and a great source of important vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Oats are also easy on the digestive system, a benefit when it comes to adding more fiber into your child’s diet. The last thing you want is for them to have an upset stomach. 

Even with all of the benefits, getting the kids to sit and eat an entire bowl of oatmeal is sometimes easier said than done. Enter our easy baked oats, once blended with the other ingredients and baked to perfection what you get is a delicious cake-like breakfast. What kid doesn’t want cake for breakfast?

Let’s get started. 


  • 2 scoops of plain shake mix
  • ½ cup of oats
  • 1 medium banana 
  • 2 large eggs 
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp chopped chocolate (optional)


  • Preheat your oven to 350F.
  • In a small blender, blend all the ingredients except the chocolate until smooth.
  • Pour the mixture into a small baking dish, ramkin, or mini loaf pan
  • Top the batter with the chocolate chips, then bake at 350F for 18-22 minutes.
  • Let cool for 5 minutes and then eat immediately
