We believe all kids have a super power, and we're here to fuel it! This quick and easy recipe is designed to fuel your kids super smarts, and prep them for a day full of learning. This smoothie is packed with nutrients contributing to cognitive function, including memory.
According to Harvard Medical School, leafy green vegetables are linked to increased cognitive function (like spinach), flavonoids in blueberries contribute to memory, and walnuts contain fatty acids that contribute to brain and heart function.
In addition, it also has many of the vitamins and minerals your kids need to thrive in and out of the classroom. We use our Strawberry Kidzprotein in this recipe to pack in even more nutrition, designed specifically for kids!
½ cup frozen strawberries
¼ cup blueberries
½ cup kale or spinach
¾ cup almond milk
1 Tbsp honey
Directions:
1. Place all ingredients in a blender.
2. Blend until fully combined and smooth (15-20 seconds)
3. Enjoy! Tip for picky eaters: the green of the smoothie can be scary for picky eaters. Put in an opaque glass with a straw, they won't taste the leafy greens!
